Tools to Help you Get your Artist Booked.

Hey Guys!,

I wanted to take the information and steps I gave you in my last post and add to it with this post. I want to give you some tools to help you get your artist booked.

The first step in the last post was to: Sell out your artists hometown. One tool you can use to help you with this is to visit Jambase . This website will help you search for venues to book your artists in, it will also allow you to search for other artists and genres similar to your artist to see which venues they are booking.

The second step I talked about was the 100 mile radius rule: The website to help you with radius is called Free Map Tools. This website will allow you to pick a destination, like a venue or city on a map and then choose a radius you want to stay in. Once you chose your radius, the website will create a circle around your chosen location with the radius you selected. From there you will also be able to move your circle from city to city on a map of the country of your choosing.

The third step was to book your artist supporting slots: This step is all about your own personal networking abilities while your artist is playing shows. Every city, show, and venue you book for your artist, it is your responsibility to form and build relationships with other industry professionals you come in contact with. Once you form those relationships and make those connections get the names, emails, and phone numbers of the people you meet. One way of doing this is asking for business cards from people you meet. Once you make these connections make sure you have a profile on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a website specifically created for professional networking. This will allow you to take the contacts in your email addresses and social media accounts and sync them with your profile. It shows you the work history, skills, licenses, certifications, and schools your contacts have attended. It is a place for you to highlight your educational and professional accomplishments and skills. As well as network and search for other professionals in your industry and others.

The fourth and final step was to book festivals to reach new audiences: One great place to start with this step is FestHeads. This website will help you research which festivals are happening in a specific geographic location. Another website that will help you with US festivals is MFJ. Use these sources to help you build up your knowledge of different festivals that are happening in your country. This will help you gain more of a fan base, especially with audience members who may not be your target audience but may turn into a fan after hearing your artist.

Alright guys, I hoped these tools helped you in your process to getting your artists booked please let me know if these tools were useful or if you have suggestions for other posts you’d like me to do for you! Also as promised In my previous post I have another Tori Kelly video for you! This song is a bonus track off of Tori’s new album “Unbreakable Smile” and available now on iTunes. Happy Listening!!
